49erNext students are able to purchase a UREC membership.
Purchasing a University Recreation (UREC) membership
- The membership fee is $25 per semester.
- You must visit UREC in person to purchase your membership, but you can view membership options here.
- As part of the University’s COVID-19 response efforts, UREC requires you to complete this health check before entering the facility.
- You will need your 49er ID as well as cash, check or credit/debit card as a form of payment.
- Sorry, there are no refunds on the UREC memberships, and we cannot prorate the charge for portions of the semester.
- Per UNC Charlotte guidance, masks are required in all indoor spaces regardless of vaccinations status, including the UREC facilities.
Benefits of a UREC Membership
- Access to Belk Gym, Northeast Rec Field Complex (NRFC), and the University Recreation Center
- You may participate in Group Fitness Classes. View class schedule here.
- 49erNext Students can sign up for UREC special events at the student rate and are eligible for personal training at the student rate.
What’s not included
- 49erNext students are not eligible to play Intramural Sports or be a member of a Sport Club.
- 49erNext students may not purchase guest passes.
