Setting up Ninernet

NinerNET credentials

  • Your NinerNET username will be provided to you via email after you are enrolled in the 49erNext program.
  • Your NinerNET password can be set and updated on the NinerNET website.

Setting up your NinerNET account

  • Visit the NinerNET website at ninernet.charlotte.edu
  • Select Activate Account under New Users
  • Enter your NinerNET username and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process.

Your password expires every 180 days

To reset your password:

  • Visit the NinerNET website at ninernet.charlotte.edu
  • Under Existing Users, select Reset Password and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the process.

49er ID Card

49erNext students may set up a UNC Charlotte ID card (49er ID) to be able to access UNC Charlotte resources.

SETTING UP YOUR 49ER ID CARD

The ID process is all mobile. Follow the directions below:

  • Download the Transact eAccounts app.
  • Open the app and tap Get Started.
  • Search for University of North Carolina at Charlotte and tap through the 49er Mobile ID login screen.
  • Enter your NinerNet credentials to authenticate your device.
  • Tap on the gear at the top right-hand corner and select Submit ID Photo.
  • Follow the prompts, and upload your photo in the first photo box and a picture of your government issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) for the second.
  • Tap on Submit and Sign Out.
  • You will receive an email to your UNC Charlotte email address when your ID photo is approved.
  • Once you have an approved photo on file, tap Add to Wallet.
  • Move through the prompts in the Transact eAccounts app to put your 49er Mobile ID in your Google, Samsung, or Apple Wallet. Your ID will not work until it is added to your wallet.

The 49er account may be used at over 100 locations including:

  • All campus dining locations including athletic events and theater concessions
  • All campus retail locations: Barnes & Noble at UNC Charlotte Bookstore, NinerTech, Campus Salon, Union Station and REPROS Copy Center
  • Atkins Library (fines)
  • Parking and Transportation Services
  • Mail & Package Services
  • Campus vending machines and Smart Markets
  • Self-service copiers and pay-for-print printers in the library and labs
